i still havent tried Cubase Studio or Reason. Studio One. Now that you mention it, Reason was released like 5 years ago. I guess they're really good. Try and decide which ones you like. To keep on learning, make any free program like Logic work with VST's, you will learn a lot from them. I know I still have a lot to learn about the VST's that i can use and I am finding some good ones from vstcentral.net. Also make any DAW work, if it does not work, then find out why, and fix the problem. This will teach you alot. Make your own synths, instruments, audio effects, whatever!
Wake up time was so fast I missed it. By that time I had probably sleep for three hours. I woke up with phone in my hand and the alarm reminder sound was already playing. One thing I was glad I didnt missed was the full setup. It was fast and simple and had no issues. Even the most experienced musician will find some good practice options on this iPad. Definitely worth to have. For the money, you could just download that Cakewalk Studio Instruments demo and try to figure out how to use it for free.
There are so many free and premium VST plugins out there and while the free ones are limited, the full scale plugins can be really expensive. Even the new Apple Logic Pro X and one of their best selling products Logic Pro X Studio (Full featured studio quality) is still pricey. With the bundle of Cakewalk Studio Instruments, you have over 60 plug-ins for free. They are simple and well made. So, i know i can't use these plug-ins for everything, but i know I can put them to work when i need them. Many of the presets are already mixed, I will just add or replace or just make a track. Honestly, I wasnt expecting anything amazing. To me, this is more of an app that will serve as a reference for me in the future. I dont get paid to play piano or keyboards, I use these apps to get a feel for a new instrument and this seems like the perfect platform to practice. Not complicated, but helpful. I cant put it to a test because I dont have a real keyboard. The keyboard view is a bit limited. But I can still hit keys and play notes on it. You can add any plugin as a keyboard. And while it does have a keyboard template, you arent limited to that. For a problem a template wont solve, you have the free and more experienced people to help you. you can also do the things like audio mixing, as well as send out your own wav files or send right to Soundcloud. Which is great. For something that is a $40 or a $70 app, all of these features are pretty good. And it doesn't hurt that the app is free. 3d9ccd7d82
