Some girls just have one beauty superpower. These are the most interesting on the planet, from the rest of us, anyway.Association of Thyroid Autoimmunity and Non-classic Autoimmune Thyroid Diseases. In recent years, there has been increasing evidence that non-classic autoimmune thyroid diseases (AITDs), such as Graves' disease (GD) and Hashimoto thyroiditis (HT), and autoimmune thyroid disorders (AO) are associated with a number of other autoimmune diseases. This paper reviewed the available evidence regarding the association of these diseases, and discusses the underlying mechanisms and clinical consequences. The data were primarily collected from the MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library databases. Only randomized controlled trials (RCTs), case-control studies, and observational studies (case series and cohort studies) evaluating the association of GD and HT with other autoimmune diseases were included. Systematic reviews of the literature on the association of GD and HT with AITDs were also summarized. Both GD and HT are associated with the occurrence of a number of autoimmune disorders and other diseases, with a considerable number of patients suffering from a combination of both diseases. Mechanisms of association are largely speculative, although there are also reports on common genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors. Furthermore, there are several areas of uncertainty, such as heterogeneity of disease, variable treatment-related risks of relapse, varying prognostic outcomes of GD and HT, and the clinical implications of the association for the risk of developing other autoimmune diseases in patients with AITDs and the treatment of associated conditions. There are significant clinical implications of the association of GD and HT with AITDs in terms of treatment and prevention of other autoimmune diseases. These should be further explored in well-designed longitudinal studies.Q: Does anyone know what this equation is modelling? I want to model the following equation: $$\left(\fracd(M1)d(t)\right)\left(\frac1d(T)\right)\left(\frac1d(M2)\right)$$ I know that the first equation is the production of $M1$, the second equation is the circulation of $M2$ and the third equation is the conversion rate of $M1$ into $M2$. But I'm not sure about what the fourth equation is modelling, and how it was derived. A: "$$\left(\fracd(M1)d(t)\right)\left(\frac1d(T)\right)\left(\frac1d(M2)\right)=\left(\fracM1(0)M2(0)\right)\left(\fracM2(t)M1(t)\right)$$" since $M2$ circulates $M1$ is modeled by the expression $M2/M1$ thus $$\left(\fracM1(0)M2(0)\right)\left(\fracM2(t)M1(t)\right)=\left(\fracM1(0)M2(0)\right)\left(\fracM2(t)M1(t)\right)$$ which is what you have.
